Serendipity Resale Shop

Serendipity is a resale shop benefiting Little Friends. Located in downtown Naperville, the shop offers clothing for men, women and children, as well as small household items such as home decor, kitchen supplies, toys, books and more.

Serendipity is run entirely by volunteers, and typically earns more than $100,000 for Little Friends each year. For more information about volunteering at the shop, please click here. 

Donations

Donations of good, used clothing and small household items are accepted any time that the shop is open. Please bring donations to the rear entrance of the shop. Due to space constraints, Serendipity cannot accept donations of furniture or large appliances; if you wish to donate these items, please contact Cally Edwards at (630) 281-1882 to see if they are currently needed for use in our programs.

Donations may also be brought to the Little Friends maintenance garage, located just north of the administration building at 140 N. Wright Street in Naperville. Please bring donations between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, to ensure that they are kept secure and out of the weather. 

In an effort to provide patrons with a convenient way of dropping off donations, beginning Saturday, April 5, the Serendipity Resale Shop will begin accepting donations carside, at the shop’s rear entrance. Volunteers will be on-hand at the shop’s downtown Naperville location between the hours of
9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to accept donations and unload merchandise from vehicles. Donation receipts will be provided.

• Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Thursday & Friday - 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Saturday - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday - Noon to 4 p.m.

Senior Day

Every Tuesday, area seniors are invited to visit the Serendipity Resale Shop to enjoy a 10 percent discount on their entire purchase.

Location and Parking

The Serendipity Resale Shop is located at 12 W. Jefferson Avenue, between Washington & Main Streets in downtown Naperville. In the hustle and bustle of downtown Naperville, parking can be at a premium. The Serendipity Resale Shop would like to remind its patrons that three 15-minute parking spaces can be found directly in front of the shop on Jefferson Avenue. These spots are ideal for patrons who are dropping off donations or shopping for that special find.

Payment

As of April 1, 2008, the Serendipity Resale Shop will begin accepting payment by Visa or Mastercard.
